Sa Riera

Sa Riera is one of the coastal settlements of the municipality of Begur — a small, intimate bay with a sandy beach, old fishermen's cottages and a handful of restaurants right on the waterfront. What sets Sa Riera apart from the other coves of Begur is the combination of accessibility, facilities and a preserved authentic character. The beach is one of the largest in Begur, with views of the Medes Islands, and is connected to neighbouring beaches via the famous Camí de Ronda coastal path.

Sa Riera has no village facilities of its own — for daily shopping, schools and medical care you go to Begur (2 km) or Palafrugell (15 min). That makes Sa Riera primarily a place to live for those who put the peace and proximity of the beach above everything else, with Begur's rich range of facilities a short distance away.

Sa Riera has one of the most beautiful settings on the Costa Brava — a sheltered bay surrounded by green hills, with clear water and direct access to the coastal path.

• Sa Riera beach — 300 metres of fine sand, family-friendly, with facilities including lifeguard, restaurants and boat hire. Views of the Medes Islands.
• Camí de Ronda — the iconic coastal path connects Sa Riera with Illa Roja, Pals and Sa Tuna. One of the most beautiful walks on the Costa Brava.
• Illa Roja — the spectacular naturist beach with its red rock, within walking distance via the coastal path.
• Diving & snorkelling — the clear water and proximity of the Medes Islands make Sa Riera popular with divers and snorkellers.

Property in Sa Riera is scarce and exclusive — the bay is small and development has been kept limited, which structurally keeps prices high.
